Preheat the oven to 200°C (O/U heat) and grease the baking dish. Squeeze out frozen spinach well. Finely chop the onion and garlic and fry in hot oil. Add the spinach and let it wilt until all the water has evaporated.

For the tomato sauce, mix all the ingredients and season to taste.
Now layer the lasagna as follows:
(1) – A thin layer of tomato sauce
(2) – Lasagna sheets (3-4 pieces)
(3) – Spinach sauce
(4) – Tomato sauce
Repeat steps (2)-(4) two more times to create 3 layers.
Finally, sprinkle the lasagne with the grated cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Remove from the oven, let rest for 5-10 minutes and then cut.
