- 2 tablespoons leftover frying oil
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
- Prepare the Coating: In a shallow dish, mix the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Egg Wash: In another shallow dish, whisk the eggs and milk together.
- Coat the Steaks: Dredge each steak first in the flour mixture, then in the egg wash, and again in the flour mixture for a double layer of crispy coating.
- Frying: Heat a generous amount of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the steaks until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side. Avoid overcrowding the skillet. Drain on paper towels.
- Make the Gravy: Reserve about 2 tablespoons of the frying oil in the skillet. Stir in the flour and cook until golden. Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring a smooth, lump-free gravy. Season with salt and pepper, and continue to stir until thickened.
- Serve: Plate the steaks and generously cover with gravy.
