Step by step preparation

1. Brown the herbs

  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  • Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes, until soft and translucent.

  • Add the garlic and sauté for another 1 to 2 minutes, until fragrant.

2. Cook the cabbage

  • Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook for about 10 minutes, until it begins to soften.

3. Simmer

  • Pour in the broth , bring to a boil then reduce the heat.

  • Simmer for 20 minutes, until the cabbage is tender.

4. Mix and cream

  • Blend the soup (partially or completely depending on the desired texture).

  • Add the heavy cream and smoked paprika , mix well.

  • Season with salt and pepper .

5. Serve

  • Pour hot into bowls.

  • Garnish with some chopped fresh parsley 🌿.
