Stop Throwing Out Hard-Boiled Egg Water. Save Them For Your Plants Instead!

To apply the calcium-laden egg water to your soil, simply save water you have used to boil some eggs. Let the water cool to room temperature and then pour it onto your plants’ soil.

However, there are a few things to keep in mind before applying egg water to your plants’ soil:

For one, keep it in mind that your potted plants most likely already have a pH that is near neutral at the very least. So, the egg water may not be essential for them.
On the other hand, you should also know that fertilizers can create acidic reactions in the soil, even though it would still take a large quantity and a long time to move the needle a considerable amount.

So, if you’re worried about the pH level of your plants’ soil, get a pH tester and if the value indicates acidity, boil some eggs!

Egg water may not be that magical solution you thought would bring your plant to life, but you’d agree that there’s no harm in finding a good way to reuse even the most menial of things like egg water.
