Directions:
- Place the chicken drumsticks in the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken drumsticks, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and place it on a serving platter.
Optional: To thicken the sauce, transfer it to a saucepan and simmer over medium heat until it reaches your desired consistency. Drizzle the thickened sauce over the chicken before serving.
Variations & Tips:
- For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the sauce mixture.
- If you prefer a tangy flavor, incorporate two tablespoons of rice vinegar.
- You can also substitute chicken thighs for drumsticks if you prefer a different cut of meat.
- For a gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
- Experiment with adding fresh ginger or a splash of sesame oil for additional depth of flavor.
