Steak and Shrimp Stuffed Bread

1. Prepare the Bread:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the top off the baguette and hollow out the inside, creating a bread “boat.” Save the removed bread for another use, like croutons or breadcrumbs.

2. Cook the Steak and Shrimp:

  1. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak with saltpeppergarlic powder, and paprika. Cook for 2–3 minutes until browned but not overdone. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tbsp of olive oil. Season the shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Set aside.

3. Sauté Vegetables:

  • In the same skillet, sauté onion and bell pepper until softened. Combine with the cooked steak and shrimp.

4. Make the Filling:

  1. In a bowl, mix the cooked steak, shrimp, sautéed veggies, cream cheesemozzarellacheddar, and parsley. Stir until well combined.

5. Stuff the Bread:

  • Spoon the steak and shrimp filling into the hollowed-out baguette, pressing gently to pack it in.

6. Add Butter Topping:

  1. In a small bowl, mix melted buttergarlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Brush the top of the bread with the butter mixture.

7. Bake:

  • Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the filling is bubbly.

8. Slice and Serve:

  • Let the stuffed bread cool for a few minutes, then slice into pieces. Serve warm and enjoy!

  • Add Heat: Mix in diced jalapeños or a splash of hot sauce for a spicy kick.
  • Cheese Options: Swap in provolone or pepper jack for a different flavor profile.
