1. Prepare the Bread:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the top off the baguette and hollow out the inside, creating a bread “boat.” Save the removed bread for another use, like croutons or breadcrumbs.
2. Cook the Steak and Shrimp:
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Cook for 2–3 minutes until browned but not overdone. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tbsp of olive oil. Season the shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Set aside.
3. Sauté Vegetables:
- In the same skillet, sauté onion and bell pepper until softened. Combine with the cooked steak and shrimp.
4. Make the Filling:
- In a bowl, mix the cooked steak, shrimp, sautéed veggies, cream cheese, mozzarella, cheddar, and parsley. Stir until well combined.
5. Stuff the Bread:
- Spoon the steak and shrimp filling into the hollowed-out baguette, pressing gently to pack it in.
6. Add Butter Topping:
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Brush the top of the bread with the butter mixture.
7. Bake:
- Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the filling is bubbly.
8. Slice and Serve:
- Let the stuffed bread cool for a few minutes, then slice into pieces. Serve warm and enjoy!
Tips and Variations
- Add Heat: Mix in diced jalapeños or a splash of hot sauce for a spicy kick.
- Cheese Options: Swap in provolone or pepper jack for a different flavor profile.
- Seafood Lover: Double the shrimp and omit the steak for a seafood-only version.
- Extra Saucy: Drizzle with garlic aioli or sriracha mayo before serving.
