This 10-minute bread recipe is perfect for when you need fresh bread fast. It’s made on the stovetop, no oven required, and comes out soft, fluffy, and irresistibly tasty. Perfect as a side for soups, dips, or as a base for sandwiches.Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour – The base for soft, tender bread.
- 1 teaspoon baking powder – Helps the bread rise quickly.
- 1/2 teaspoon salt – Enhances flavor.
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt (or sour cream) – Makes the bread soft and moist.
- 1/4 cup milk – Adjusts the dough consistency.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter – Adds richness and prevents sticking.
How to Make 10-Minute Bread
Step 1: Make the Dough
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the yogurt and milk, mixing until a soft dough forms. If the dough feels too sticky, add a little more flour; if it’s too dry, add a splash of milk.
Step 2: Divide and Shape
- Divide the dough into 4–6 equal portions.
- Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten slightly into a disc about 1/2 inch thick.
Step 3: Cook on the Stovetop
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Brush the surface with olive oil or melted butter.
- Place the dough discs in the skillet, making sure they don’t touch.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and puffed. Flip carefully to avoid tearing.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy
- Remove the bread from the skillet and let it cool slightly.
- Serve warm with butter, jam, or your favorite toppings.
