What Can I Serve Them With?
Serve them alongside grilled meats like steak, chicken, or sausages, or with fish for a lighter option. They also complement vegetarian mains such as grilled vegetables, halloumi, or a hearty salad. For a casual meal, they’re great with burgers or sandwiches, and can even be topped with sour cream or a yogurt dip for a tasty appetizer.

Can I Make Grilled Sliced Potatoes Ahead of Time?
Yes, you can make grilled sliced potatoes ahead of time. Slice them in advance, then store them in the fridge for up to a day. When you’re ready to serve, simply brush with oil and reheat them on the grill or in a hot oven to restore their crispiness and flavor.

Do They Freeze Well?
Grilled sliced potatoes do not freeze very well, as freezing can alter their texture, making them mushy or grainy once thawed.

How to Store Any Leftovers
To store leftover grilled sliced potatoes, let them cool completely, then place them in an airtight container and refrigerate. They’ll stay fresh for up to 3 days. Reheat them in a skillet, oven, or air fryer to restore their crisp texture—avoid microwaving if you want to maintain the crispness.

How to Make Grilled Sliced Potatoes

Step 1
First, wash the potatoes well under running water, then dry them and cut them into thin slices of about 1 centimeter, without removing the peel.

Step 2
Place them in a large bowl filled with water and let them rest for at least half an hour, so that they lose the excess starch.

Step 3
Now heat the grill or griddle and arrange the potatoes, without overlapping them; the ideal cooking temperature would be 320°F/160°C, but in general the grill must be hot and not boiling, to avoid burning them. Turn them every 5 minutes, so as to cook them evenly, and remove them from the heat when they are golden brown on both sides.

Step 4
At this point, transfer them into a container or onto a serving dish and season them with extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper and rosemary.

Step 5
Enjoy them while they’re piping hot!
