Ingredients
2 pounds of sliced carrots
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Directions
Place the sliced carrots in the slow cooker.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, melted butter, and salt.
Pour the mixture over the carrots, stirring to coat them evenly.
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the carrots are tender and glazed.
Stir before serving to ensure the glaze is well distributed.
Variations & Tips
For a bit of spice, add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the glaze mixture. If you prefer a tangy twist, a tablespoon of orange juice or a splash of apple cider vinegar can brighten the flavors. For a more savory version, try adding a teaspoon of garlic powder or a sprinkle of fresh thyme. These carrots can also be made with honey instead of brown sugar for a different kind of sweetness.
