Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry: 1 sheet

  • Apples: 3

  • Lemon: 1

  • Jam (e.g., apricot): to taste

  • Sugar: to taste

  • Cinnamon: to taste


How To Make Puff Pastry Apple Roses

Step 1:
Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples.

Step 2:
Place slices in a bowl with water, lemon juice, and a bit of sugar to prevent browning.

Step 3:
Microwave the slices for 3 minutes or blanch briefly until just softened. Drain.

Step 4:
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Cut puff pastry into long, even strips.

Step 5:
Spread a thin layer of apricot jam on each strip. Arrange apple slices along one edge, overlapping slightly.

Step 6:
Fold the bottom of the pastry strip up over the lower edge of the apples.

Step 7:
Carefully roll the strip from one end to form a rose shape.

Step 8:
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

Step 9:
Place in a muffin tin or on a lined baking tray. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and puffed.

Step 10:
Let cool slightly. Dust generously with icing sugar before serving.
