Pillows are one of those household items that require special care to be kept in optimal hygienic condition and suitable for regular and safe use.
Although they are hidden by pillowcases, the mud or saliva that forms on pillows can create a perfect environment for the proliferation of bacteria and mites that come into contact with our respiratory tract.
In most cases, it is certainly not necessary to take drastic measures such as buying new pillows, but it is possible to clean and rid pillows of mites naturally to make them like new again, and here are two effective methods.
Vinegar and baking soda. The combination of these two ingredients is a perfect solution to whiten and disinfect the fabric of the pillow. Both ingredients have antibacterial and bleaching properties that make it easier to remove dirt and sweat stains.
Put the pillows in the washing machine and fill them with water. Then add 80 g of baking soda and 120 ml of white vinegar. Start the full wash cycle and then let the pillows dry in the sun.
