4 bone-in pork chops, about 1 inch thick
1 cup apple butter
1 packet dry onion soup mix
Directions
Place the pork chops in the bottom of your slow cooker.
In a small bowl, combine the apple butter and dry onion soup mix. Stir until well blended.
Pour the apple butter mixture over the pork chops, ensuring they are well coated.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pork is tender and fully cooked.
Serve the pork chops with the sauce from the slow cooker spooned over the top.
Variations & Tips
For a bit of heat, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the apple butter mixture. If you prefer a smokier flavor, try adding a teaspoon of smoked paprika. For a lower sodium version, use a reduced-sodium onion soup mix. You can also experiment with different fruit butters, like peach or pear, for a unique twist.
