Crock Pot Pepper Steak
1. Coat the Meat
- In a large bowl, mix flour and seasoned salt.
- Toss beef stew meat in the mixture until well coated.
2. Brown the Meat and Peppers
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add coated meat, minced garlic, and sliced bell peppers.
- Cook until the meat begins to brown.
3. Transfer to Crock Pot
- Move the browned meat and peppers into a lined or greased slow cooker.
- Leave the grease behind in the skillet.
4. Make the Gravy
- In the same skillet, add stewed tomatoes (with juice) and beef broth.
- Gradually stir in a bit of flour to thicken into a gravy.
- Pour the gravy over the meat and peppers in the slow cooker.
5. Slow Cook
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
6. Serve and Enjoy
- Spoon over rice, mashed potatoes, or serve with crusty bread.
