Crock Pot Pepper Steak

1. Coat the Meat

  • In a large bowl, mix flour and seasoned salt.
  • Toss beef stew meat in the mixture until well coated.

2. Brown the Meat and Peppers

  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add coated meat, minced garlic, and sliced bell peppers.
  • Cook until the meat begins to brown.

3. Transfer to Crock Pot

  • Move the browned meat and peppers into a lined or greased slow cooker.
  • Leave the grease behind in the skillet.

4. Make the Gravy

  • In the same skillet, add stewed tomatoes (with juice) and beef broth.
  • Gradually stir in a bit of flour to thicken into a gravy.
  • Pour the gravy over the meat and peppers in the slow cooker.

5. Slow Cook

  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

6. Serve and Enjoy

  • Spoon over rice, mashed potatoes, or serve with crusty bread.
