CHOCOLATE COOKIES
1 EGG
50G (1/4 CUP) SUGAR
A PINCH OF SALT
½ TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
20G (2 1/2 TBSP) FLOUR
20G (2 1/2 TBSP) CORNSTARCH
500ML (2 CUPS) MILK
50G (1/4 CUP) BUTTER
100G (3/4 CUP) MILK CHOCOLATE
50ML (1/4 CUP) VEGETABLE OIL
How to Make Cookie Trifle
Step 1
Whisk the egg with the sugar, salt, vanilla, flour, and cornstarch in a pot set on the stove until combined.
Step 2
Whisk in the milk and continue cooking, while whisking, until thickened.
Step 3
Whisk in the butter.
Step 4
Arrange one layer of cookies in a baking dish.
Step 5
Top the cookie layer with some of the custard, ensuring it is a smooth even layer.
Step 6
Repeat the layers until the baking dish is full. Cover and refrigerate it for 1 hour.
Step 7
Melt the chocolate and mix it with the oil.
Step 8
Pour the chocolate on top of the trifle in an even layer and refrigerate it for 1 hour until set.
Step 9
Slice and serve!
