Ingredients
For the Chocolate Cake Layers:
• 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
• ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1½ tsp baking powder
• 1½ tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 cup buttermilk
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup hot water or coffee (for extra richness)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Orange Cream Filling:
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 2½ cups powdered sugar
• 2 tbsp orange zest
• ¼ cup fresh orange juice
• A few drops of orange food coloring (optional, for a bold look)
For the Chocolate Ganache:
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
