3. Add the cooked beef mixture on top of the cabbage.
4. Sprinkle the uncooked rice over the beef mixture.
5. Layer the remaining cabbage on top.
6. In a bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, salt, pepper, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth.
7. Pour the tomato mixture over the layers in the slow cooker.
8. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or until the cabbage and rice are tender.
9. Stir before serving to combine all the layers.
Variations & Tips
For a lighter version, you can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef. If you have picky eaters, try adding a bit of shredded cheese on top during the last 30 minutes of cooking for a cheesy twist. You can also add a can of drained kidney beans or black beans for extra protein and fiber. If you prefer a bit of spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the tomato mixture.
