1. Field Spot (Yellow Patch)
Ripe: Look for a deep yellow or creamy spot where the melon rested on the ground.
Not Ripe: A white or pale green spot means it was picked too early.
2. Skin Appearance
Ripe: Should have a dull or matte finish (not shiny). This indicates full ripeness.
Not Ripe: Shiny skin suggests it’s still immature.
3. Webbing or Sugar Lines
Ripe: Brown, web-like scars indicate where sugar seeped out—this means it’s extra sweet.
