How To Make Orange Juice Marshmallows

Step 1
Squeeze fresh oranges into a bowl. Use a sieve to catch any seeds,

Step 2
Pour the orange juice into a sauce pan and set aside.

Step 3
Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, warm up the orange juice gently in a saucepan. Don’t let it boil!

Once the gelatin sheets are softened, gently squeeze out any excess water. Add them to the warmed orange juice in the saucepan and whisk well until the gelatin is completely dissolved.  Make sure there are no lumps!

Step 5
Transfer the orange juice and gelatin mixture to a large mixing bowl (ideally a stand mixer if you have one).

Step 6
Whip the mixture on high speed for at least 10-15 minutes until thick and fluffy.

Step 7
Line a baking tray or container with parchment paper for easy removal later.  Dust the bottom and sides generously with a mixture of cornstarch and powdered sugar. Once the marshmallow mixture is whipped, carefully pour it into the prepared pan.

Step 8
Smooth out the top and place in the the refrigerator. Let it chill for at least 3 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the gelatin to fully set and the marshmallows to achieve the perfect texture.

Step 9
Once chilled and firm, remove the marshmallows from the pan and dust again with powdered sugar and cornstarch.

Step 10
Cut them into cubes or your desired shapes.

Step 11
Serve and enjoy.
